1. Service Description
Attestly ("Service") is a web application that generates AI compliance documents for businesses. Users complete a questionnaire about their AI usage, and the Service generates state-specific compliance documents including AI Disclosure Policies, Client Notices, Internal Policies, Employee Notices, and Data Processing Addendums.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Not Legal Advice
The documents generated by Attestly are informational templates only. They do not constitute legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by your use of the Service. The generated documents are based on publicly available regulatory information and AI analysis, which may contain errors or omissions.
You should have all generated documents reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on them for compliance purposes.
3. Account and Access
You may generate certain free documents without creating an account. To access paid features, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
4. Payment Terms
Starter Plan ($79 one-time): Provides access to all five document types. Payment is non-refundable once documents have been generated. If you experience a technical issue that prevents document generation, contact support@attestly.io.
Pro Plan (monthly or annual subscription): Provides access to all documents plus unlimited regeneration and compliance alerts. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Attestly does not store your payment card information.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated documents as a competing service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the Service's underlying algorithms or prompts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Submit false or misleading information in the questionnaire
6. Intellectual Property
Your documents: You retain full ownership of the documents generated for your business through the Service. You may use, modify, and distribute them as you see fit.
Our Service: The Attestly name, logo, website design, and underlying technology (including prompts and algorithms) are the intellectual property of Attestly and may not be copied or reproduced.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Attestly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Attestly's total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Attestly in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Attestly does not warrant that generated documents will ensure regulatory compliance. Compliance is ultimately the responsibility of the user.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers of material changes.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@attestly.io. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, but documents you have already downloaded remain yours.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
